BEVERLY HILLS—At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 19, the body of Edenilson Steven Valle, 21, was found in the pool of actress Demi Moore’s Beverly Hills residence. TMZ first broke the news about the death.
Valle was found in the deep end of Moore’s backyard pool after disappearing for 10 to 15 minutes. According to the police, the man’s death is being reported as an accidental drowning, but there will be an investigation into the circumstances that lead to the incident.
Neighbors of Demi Moore said that her children have been throwing pool parties throughout the summer. According to reports from TMZ and CNN there was a party the night of the incident, but it was not thrown by any of Moore’s children. According to reports, the party was alleged to be thrown by the caretaker at Moore’s home. None of Moore’s family were present at the time of police arrival, the Los Angeles Police Department reports.
Five people were present at the house, including one of Moore’s assistants. The relationship between Valle and the assistant, if any, is unknown. Moore grew to fame with her starring role in the Oscar-nominated picture “Ghost” alongside Whoopi Goldberg and Patrick Swayze, where she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. She parlayed that films success with roles in “A Few Good Men” alongside Tom Cruise, “Indecent Proposal,” “Disclosure” and “G.I. Jane.”
Moore has three children with ex-husband Bruce Willis, Rumer, Scout and Talluah. She was previously married to actor Ashton Kutcher from 2005-2012. She last appeared in the film “Very Good Girls” alongside Dakota Fanning, Elisabeth Olsen and Richard Dreyfuss.
According to reports, the actress has not yet drained her pool after Valle’s body was found. TMZ reported that the victim did not know how to swim and fell into the pool. Authorities do not suspect any foul play to be involved in the drowning, but have some alcohol had been served at the party. Authorities are still investigating the case.
