LOS ANGELES—Three people were arrested, seven people were ejected, and one person was hospitalized after several fights broke out between football fans during a preseason game between the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, August 13.

Eleven ambulances were called to the scene, but only one person had to be taken to the hospital, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Authorities were not aware if the injured party or if the calls for paramedics were directly related to fights that occurred.

More than 80,000 tickets were sold to the game, which saw the Rams defeat the Dallas Cowboys 28-24. It was the stadium’s first NFL game since 1994.

The Rams will host a second preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs at 6 p.m. On Saturday, August 20 at the Coliseum. Additional security is expected to be present for all events hosted at the Coliseum this year. Metal detectors have been installed at all gates and fans will be required to walk through them before entering the building.
