STUDIO CITY—A row of detached garages were threatened by a fire on the Fourth of July in Studio City.

The incident was first reported at 7:38 a.m. on 12109 Hoffman Street, which is located by the Los Angeles River in Studio City. A detached row of garages with heavy fire threatened a second row of garages behind it.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 7:50 a.m. and contained the fire in 12 minutes. They contained the fire to one garage unit and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire, estimated damage, and cost of damage is still under investigation.
