LOS ANGELES—A double shooting that occurred in Koreatown on Sunday, May 28 left one man dead and another injured, the Los Angeles Police Department reported. Detectives are currently investigating the case.

Just after 8:00 p.m., Olympic Area officers heard shots fire when they were in the area of 4th Street and Vermont Avenue. They located an adult Hispanic male on the 400 block of Vermont Avenue suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim died of injuries sustained, while being transported to the hospital by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department. The name of the victim has not yet been disclosed to the public. A second victim, another unidentified adult Hispanic male, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the scene in a white sedan headed southbound on Vermont Avenue after officers discovered the first victim. Authorities indicated that they are searching for a Hispanic male who was seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark-colored pants. Officers suspect the shooting may have been gang related.
