PACIFIC PALISADES—On Tuesday, July 24, officials from the Los Angeles Police Department announced they are asking for the public’s help to solve a homicide that occurred by Temescal Canyon Road.

On Saturday, July 21, at around 1:30 p.m., a pedestrian passing through a wooded area by the road, a quarter mile south of Sunset Boulevard, found the body in heavy brush, LAPD Police Detective John Lamberti told KTLA news. The body, has been identified as a 24-year-old man of Guatemalan descent. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds. The name of the victim has not yet been disclosed to the public.

Prior to his death, the victim encountered LAPD officials in 2018 and 2017. Officials are having trouble identifying the victim. They released two photos of the victim, one of which shows facial tattoos including a tattooed tear drop by the victim’s left eye.

The incident is being investigated as a homicide and no arrests have been made in connection with the case. Any witnesses with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Los Angeles Police Department (877) LAPD-247.
