LOS FELIZ—A man was killed after being hit by a car, after suffering a medical emergency in the middle of the crosswalk on Thursday, February 7.

CBS Los Angeles reported that witnesses indicated that the victim was crossing an intersection near John Marshall High School, when he grabbed his chest and appeared to be suffering a medical emergency near Lyric Avenue and George Street around 8:00 a.m.

He was struck by a vehicle making a left turn. The driver got out to try and administer aid to the victim, who was also assisted by a nurse and other witnesses. Despite aid being rendered, the victim died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public.

It is unclear as to whether or not the victim died as a result of injuries sustained after being hit. The Los Angeles Police Department are currenting investigating the incident.
