BEVERLY HILLS—On May 28, the city of Beverly Hills asked residents to connect with the developing streetscape plan for metro stations along Wilshire and La Cienega Boulevards.

The new plan called “Connect Beverly Hills” is the latest design the city has added to prepare for the Metro Purple Line Extension. The line is designed to bring new subway stations to the city. The Wilshire-La Cienega station is set to be completed in the year 2023 and the Wilshire-Rodeo station is set to be complete in 2025.

The goal of Connect Beverly Hills is to provide a more inviting atmosphere with a boost in amenities such as lighting, bus shelters, and landscaping.

The city’s Community and Development Department is taking the lead on this project and partnering with RCH Studios, Community Arts Resources, and Toole Design to help design the new Metro stations.

The city is providing a virtual tour of the Wilshire and La Cienega Boulevards (connect.beverlyhills.org) and are asking residents to provide feedback via a questionnaire online. The city is also asking locals to provide suggestions and share ideas on how to improve the Metro Streetscape.
