HOLLYWOOD—Television host Sharon Osbourne, 62, collapsed at her Los Angeles home on May 22. Following the incident, Osbourne made a decision to take a break from the CBS daytime show “The Talk.”

Osbourne had just returned to her home after visiting New York and Toronto last week.

Her rep released the following statement: “Upon her return she collapsed from mental and physical fatigue. Her doctors report that she is suffering from ‘extreme exhaustion’ and assessed that she most likely returned to work too soon after being hospitalized recently for pneumonia.”

The statement continued, “Sharon has been advised and has agreed to to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events. Sharon would like to thank everyone at The Talk for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support.”

Sharon Osbourne has been on the gabfest “The Talk” since 2010. She is wife to singer Ozzy Osbourne, 66, and mother to three children: Kelly Osbourne, 30, Jack Osbourne, 29, and Aimee Osbourne, 31.
