MALIBU—The Los Angeles-based, vintage-inspired woman’s knitwear brand, Wildfox opened their second store in Malibu Country Mart. The label was founded in 2007, but their first store was not built until 2014 in Los Angeles.
CEO Jimmy Sommers and Co-Founder Kimberley Gordon did not discover the brand, but continue to use it in honor of the two women who founded the company. Although they remain anonymous, their love for everything vintage gave birth to this idea.
Sommers was originally a jazz musician born in Chicago; Gordon was born in the United Kingdom and has always had her hand in the art world.
There are plans for stores to be opened in New York, Miami, and Chicago. This summer a new fragrance will be introduced by Wildfox. The business has distributed to over 30 countries.
Stores contain such items like tees, bottoms, dresses, denim, tanks, as well as a host of other items. They even have children’s clothing under the brand Wildfox Kids.
The Wildfox store in Malibu is open Sunday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
