WEST HOLLYWOOD—A surveillance video captured a man vandalizing a parked car in West Hollywood on June 21.
The suspect checked for onlookers as he approached the vehicle parked inside the driveway of the victim’s home and carved the word “Gay” onto the vehicle at approximately 3:00 a.m. He also removed the mirror on the passenger side of the vehicle and dragged a sharp object along the right side of the car.
The owner of the car was out of town when the suspect vandalized the vehicle. He recently filed a police report for which he called the incident a “hate crime.”
