MALIBU—The Malibu Task Force on Homelessness announced that they are currently holding their second annual Holiday Donation Drive from now until January 15, 2018. The event is being held at Malibu City Hall located at 23825 Stuart Ranch Road. Individuals can donate items by placing them in the red donation bins in the upper and lower lobbies.

Hours of operations are Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Items donated will be put to use by The People Concern’s Malibu Outreach Team in its efforts to engage homeless individuals and connect them to needed services and housing.

Collection bins (decorated for the holidays) are located in the upper and lower lobbies of Malibu’s City Hall. If possible, individuals are asked to please bring items the outreach workers can put to use right away, such as:

– Winter Clothing (particularly jackets/sweaters/waterproof ponchos)

– Socks/Underwear (new)

– Nonperishable Snacks (protein bars, beef jerky, granola bars, etc.)

– Cleansing Wipes

The People Concern’s professional Malibu Outreach Team is collecting items brought to City Hall. Donations are being used by the Outreach Team during their efforts in the field as they engage homeless individuals, build trust, and work to connect them with crucial wraparound services and housing.
