PACIFIC PALISADES—Two hikers were rescued via helicopter in Pacific Palisades on the Saturday, December 28.

Officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department Ground and Air responded to two hikers who were uninjured, but in distress at approximately 9:30 p.m. The LAFD was able to locate the hikers at 2200 Sullivan Fire Rd., but were unable to reach them with ease due to the terrain and location.

After a paramedic assessed the situation, officials conducted a hoist operation to safely rescue the hikers. Once rescued, the hikers were transported to a safe area in order for grounds crews to escort them safely to their vehicles. The names of the hikers have not been released to the public.
