HOLLYWOOD—Singer and actress Vanessa Williams, 52, and her fiancé Jim Skrip, 52, tied the knot in New York on the Fourth of July.

Before heading to New York to get hitched, the “Save The Best For Last” singer tweeted, “Road trip for the holiday weekend Happy 4th.”

Williams was previously married twice before. She was married to Ramon Harvey from 1987 to 1997 and had daughters Melanie, 28, Jillian, 26, and son Devin, 22, with Harvey. In 1999, Williams tied the knot with actor Rick Fox. They welcomed their daughter Sasha Gabriella Fox in 2000 and split in 2005.

Vanessa Williams announced the news of her engagement in September 2014 during an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show. She revealed, “I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen. I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings on this trip.”

The marriage of the pair comes just a few years after their first encounter. Williams and Skrip met in Egypt in 2013.

Williams was once a Miss America contestant and has been nominated for an Emmy award several times for her performance on ABC’s “Ugly Betty.”
