BEVERLY HILLS—Would you say that the name “Handsome” suits me? Well, I guess that somebody did, and everyone that sees me seems to think so, too! It’s kind of embarrassing, but I have to admit that it does make me feel good. All of the volunteers love to take me for walks, and we sure turn a lot of heads and attract a lot of attention. That makes me feel good, too!
I have to tell you that I have a couple of – I think that they’re called –phobias. Well, no one is perfect, you know! I get a little anxious about traffic, and wind kind of spooks me, too. Yes, wind! I have no idea why that should scare me, as I know that it can’t hurt me, but there you have it. Now you know my weak spots.
Because of these fears of mine, I think it would be best to have a home with adults that are calm and understanding, and maybe have had experience with dogs that had strange quirks like mine. Then, maybe, they could help me work through them. Or, at least, know how to put up with them, and calm me when I get upset.
So, if the things that scare me, didn’t scare you away, won’t you call to see me? We can go for a walk – and you will see how heads turn when they see us! Then we can sit on the couch and do a couple of my favorite things. They are cuddling and being petted. And, if you tell me how handsome you think that I am, I won’t object! Who knows, you might even want to make me a permanent part of your life! I’m going to keep positive thoughts about that!
