PACIFIC PALISADES—A whale carcass, approximately 30-feet washed ashore Will Rogers States Beach in Pacific Palisades on Saturday, July 6.

The whale carcass came ashore around  8:15 a.m. At approximately 8:20 a.m. the Los Angeles Fire Department received a call about the carcass. 

”Los Angeles County Beaches Department of Beaches and Harbor will work with a third party contractor to ensure safe and environmentally conscious removal of the carcass,” tweeted the Los Angeles Fire Department, Lifeguard Division.

It is not known how long the carcass was on Will Rogers State Beach.
