MALIBU—The city of Malibu is supporting the Los Angeles County Firefighters’ 23rd Annual Spark of Love Toy Drive, where toys are collected for deserving children and teens. The LAFD has teamed up with ABC7 for the toy drive, which runs from November 9 through December 24.

According to a press release from the County of Los Angeles Fire Department, Sparks of Love has collected more than 9 million toys across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura, and San Bernardino counties since its inception.

For the first time ever, the Stuff-A-Bus event will take place on November 20, where participants will have an additional opportunity to bring new, unwrapped toys or sports equipment for children and teens, with the goal of filling up a bus with holiday gifts.

The event, which will take place from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., will be hosted by ABC7 and Southern California firefighters. Stuff-A-Bus will feature ABC7 traffic reporter Alysha Del Valle and meteorologist Bri Winkler at the Los Cerritos Center in Cerritos.

Toys and sports equipment can be dropped off at the Stuff-A-Bus event or your local fire station. All Los Angeles County Fire Department stations are accepting donations.

The city of Malibu is specifically asking residents to drop off unwrapped new toys or sports equipment at the collection boxes located in Malibu City Hall.
