LOS FELIZ—The Los Feliz home of actress and philanthropist Rooney Mara, known for her role in the film “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” has been placed on the market for $3.8 million.

The 2,340 square-foot home was designed by architect Phil Brown and built in 1963. Located above Bronson Canyon at the end of a cul-de-sac, the property has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The open floor plan includes a combined living and dining room that is more than 30 feet long and furnished with mid-century modern furniture, according to Variety. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors lead to a deck with city and mountain views. New white terrazzo floors run through the house’s main areas.

The galley-style kitchen is equipped with mint cabinets, stainless steel countertops, and a breakfast nook with a banquette. Near the kitchen is an office that can be converted into another bedroom. The two primary bedrooms on the other side of the house have their own glass sliding doors that lead to private gardens.

Mara reportedly purchased the estate in 2015 for $2.9 million from “True Blood” actor Alexander Skarsgård and previously listed the home off-market for $3.895 million, according to Variety. The home is represented by JR Davidson and Nina Chea of RedX Real Estate, at Keller Williams Realty in Larchmont.

Mara is best known for portraying Lisbeth Salander in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. In 2015, she tied for the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival, for her role in the film “Carol.” She is set to appear in the upcoming film, “Mary Magdelene,” alongside Joaquin Phoenix, and “Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot,” with Jonah Hill.
