SHERMAN OAKS—On Friday December 12, the California Transportation Department (Caltrans) issued the following alert. Roadwork continues, causing traffic delays for the third day in a row.
“The southbound connector to eastbound SR 22 /in Seal Beach/ (Orange Co) is closed form 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs Wednesday thru Friday thru 12/12/25 – Due to construction – Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
The southbound connector to northbound SR 55 /in Costa Mesa/ (Orange Co) is closed from 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs Thursday thru Friday thru 12/12/25 – Due to construction – Motorists are advised to use an alternate route,” stated the Caltrans website.
On Wednesday, December 10, the Caltrans issued a Sigalert for a portion of the southbound 405 Freeway that caused delays.
Reports indicate a section of lifted concrete caused a minor traffic collision on the southbound San Diego Freeway in the San Fernando Valley shutting down two lanes for emergency repairs. The incident caused hours long traffic delays effecting travelers from Sherman Oaks, Westwood, and Beverly Glen.
