WOODLAND HILLS—On June 20, two men, driver Omri Moalem, 45, and passenger Yanir Ruham, 37, died in a high-speed crash on Mulholland Highway in Calabasas. Moalem was the president of Green Works Construction and Design Inc; a general contracting and design firm located in Woodland Hills.

According to authorities, the gray Porsche convertible was traveling at a high rate of speed before it struck a fire hydrant, an iron fence, and a tree, then flipped upside down, KTLA first reported.

Eyewitnesses say the car careened off the roadway and became airborne before landing on private property. Both men succumbed to blunt force trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. and prompted authorities to close the roadway in both directions.

Residents on social media are asking drivers to slow down and be cautious when navigating the twisty canyon roads.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu/Lost Hills Station is currently investigating the matter. Anyone with details can contact the station’s tip line at 818-878-1808.
