MALIBU—On Monday, June 29, 2026, Lucinda Jane Weist Manera, otherwise known as “Lucy Weist,” 63, pleaded guilty to one felony count of being an accessory after the fact for helping her convicted fraudster boyfriend evade capture by law enforcement.

The Malibu resident and former actress, known for her roles in “Blown Away,” “Predator 2,” and “The Silencers,” lied to federal investigators about whether she spoke to her boyfriend, Bernhard Eugen Fritsch, within a day of his scheduled June 2, 2025, court hearing.

Fritsch was convicted by a jury in April 2025 on one count of wire fraud for lying to investors about the financial performance of his company, StarClub, from 2014 to 2017.

Fritsch spent the money on luxury items like a McLaren, a Rolls-Royce, yacht upgrades, and renovations to his mansion near Carbon Beach in Malibu. Law enforcement seized the McLaren, the Rolls-Royce, and his yacht, which are now subject to forfeiture proceedings. Prosecutors estimate Fritsch caused roughly $25 million in victim losses. Fritsch fled to Mexico on June 2, 2025 to prevent going to prison.

According to investigators, Weist made at least 10 payments totaling roughly $7,475 to a third party she knew was sheltering Fritsch and authorized a $534 hotel charge for his stay in Mexico.

She also searched online for ways to get him from Mexico to Germany, a country that generally does not extradite its own citizens.

In October 2025, Fritsch was sentenced in absentia to 15 years in federal prison and ordered to pay $26,806,901 in restitution.

According to Fox News, this was not the first time Fritsch was accused of fraudulent schemes. In 2013, music executive Haqq Islam sued Fritsch, alleging that Fritsch owed him $750,000 for connecting him with Hollywood figures such as Jessica Simpson for StarClub pitches. Singer and actor Tyrese Gibson hosted the StarClub launch party in 2014.

Weist is scheduled for her sentencing hearing on October 5, 2026. She faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
