MALIBU—The beach resident of NBA Hall of Fame player, Kevin Garnett has been listed after a 4-year renovation period. Garnett never moved into the property after purchasing it in 2003 while playing with the Minnesota Timberwolves. The home features ocean views with an infinity pool, a triple lot and is located at 27715 Pacific Coast Highway.
Beyonce and Jay Z purchased a Malibu estate at 27712 Pacific Coast Highway in 2023 for a record $200 million. Billionarie Mark Andreesen bought his 7-acre estate for $177 million in 2021.
Garnett agreed to sell the home in 2021 to Ando Hacopian for Hacopian Design & Development Group for $16 million. Hacopian agreed to cover the closing cost and prior leans of Garnett. Garnett filed a lawsuit on Hacopian for alleged fraud on not fulfilling their agreement. The property went into renovation after CEO of VIG Private Lending Vladmir Valsky took ownership in 2021. Valsky hired Architect Roger Kurath to overhaul the design and renovate.
The Minnesota Timberwolves drafted Garnett straight out of high school in 1995 with the 5th overall pick in the first round. During his 14 years in the league, he averaged 19.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.6 blocks a game.
His first tenure with the Timberwolves came to an end in 2007. He joined the Boston Celtics team where he won his first and only championship in 2008. Garnett received the Most Valuable Player award in 2004 and a Defensive Player of the Year in 2008.
