HOLLYWOOD—If you think viewers were left with their mouths open at the end of last week’s episode of “Entourage,” just imagine what Ari felt and what he’s going to do this Sunday night.
Last week, in the midst of a public relations crisis over Vince’s (Adrian Grenier) movie, Ari (Jeremy Piven) came face-to-face with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and other top NFL figures and gets unexpected help from black-sheep agent Lizzie Grant (Autumn Reeser). Piven and Reeser were sensational in the scenes opposite one another. It was fun and engaging seeing how they compliment each other as actors and in character, as agents.
At Vince’s behest, Eric (Kevin Connolly) agreed to help Drama (Kevin Dillon) find the perfect script. In real-life form, Eric’s desk looked like every up-and-coming theatrical agent in Tinseltown, looking for that money script, the one that will make your client famous and you extremely rich. Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) ended up with egg on his face when he accused his former assistant Alex (Dania Ramirez) of maxing out his corporate credit card. It turns out that Tiffany’s on Rodeo Drive accidentally put an extra zero on the billing to Turtle’s AMEX account. Now I’ve never bought a thousand dollar piece at Tiffany’s, but I am sure they would never make that mistake!
Sporting a bold new look, Vince takes his risk-taking proclivities to new heights. Skydiving is not my idea of fun when you are the top star in a picture and everyone else from crew to cast are depending on you to stay alive long enough to finish the picture. Vince also enraged the producers by not getting permission to cut his hair so drastically before reshoots were completed. I’ve actually seen stars fired from projects for such behavior. Let’s see where it all goes on Sunday night. I’ll be watching. Will you?
