SAN PEDRO—Dogs For the Deaf, Inc. will be hosting a donation event on Sunday, April 13 at 12:30 p.m. The Dogs for The Deaf, Inc. is an organization that aims to “rescue and professionally train dogs to help people and enhance lives, maintaining a lifelong commitment to all dogs we rescue and all people we serve,” according to their website.
The event starts with a spring/Easter themed costume contest at 1:00 p.m. Prizes will be given to the best looking male and female dog. Following the event there will be a Dog Walk to Marina/Cabrillo Beach or Park Walk option at 2:00 p.m. The event will end with a presentation at 3:00 p.m.
The event will be located on 22nd Street Park in San Pedro. Those who wish to participate in the event are encouraged to donate a minimum of $10 to the charity event.
