LOS ANGELES—The Riverside Deaf Seniors are postponing their trip to the Pompeii Exhibit at the California Science Center. The trip has not yet been rescheduled.

The Pompeii exhibit showcases artifacts from the 79 A.D. Eruption of Mount Vesuvius and the aftermath of it’s destruction on the Italian city of Pompeii. The California Science Center’s website says the exhibit has 150 artifacts “on loan from the Naples National Archaeological Museum in Italy.” The exhibit offers a view into ancient Roman society prior to the unearthing of Pompeii in 1748.

Those who wish to attend are encouraged to arrive 45 minutes before their rescheduled time at the Riverside-Downtown station. The event will consist of having lunch and a walk around the museum. The museum is located at the California Science Center on 700 Exposition Park Drive in Los Angeles,
CA.

The exhibit opened on May 20, 2014 and is scheduled to close on January 4, 2015. The exhibit is open from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends. Ticket prices for California Science Center members ranges from $10.75 to $12.75 per person. General admission ranges between $12.75 to $19.75 per person.

Tickets can also be purchased in groups of 15 or more members in attendance; group ticket prices range from $12.75 to $15.50 per person.
