BEVERLY HILLS—An aggressive blaze in upper Beverly Glen Canyon, north of Beverly Hills required helicopters to help extinguish a half acre of burning brush on Sunday, March 8.

The fire was reported at approximately 1:15 p.m. at the 1600 block of Stone Canyon Road. The flames were put out at approximately 1:54 p.m.

The fire transpired on the southeast side of the reservoir. Residents were not nearby when the incident occurred.

The smoke from the fire was visible from Beverly Hills and Mulholland Highway.
