UNITED STATES—Former U.S. Ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland received word on Friday, February 7, that he would be relieved from his position.

News of Sondland’s recall followed the reassignment of Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman who was relieved of his duties by the National Security Council and escorted off the premises, along with his twin brother, Yevgency Vindman who occupied a nearby office at the White House. The Vindman brothers were both born in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic Soviet Union.

Lt. Col. Vindman and Sondland both testified during the impeachment hearings against President Donald Trump. Vindman reportedly tipped off the “Whistleblower” about his concerns of the phone call between President Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Sondland testified in an attempt to prove that there was a quid pro quo. Ukraine President Zelensky and other Ukrainian officials stated there was no pressure or no quid pro quo.

Sondland and the Vindman brothers were all dismissed on the same day. Sondland becomes the eighth person out of twelve individuals who testified against POTUS that has been reassigned or fired.

President Trump was fully exonerated of all charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in relation to his dealings with Ukraine on Wednesday, February 5.

Actor, comedian, and Trump advocate, Terrell Williams posted on Twitter, “President Trump is your boss. What do y‘all expect? President Trump can’t work with people who work against him.”
