SANTA MONICA—The Santa Monica Police Department arrested two suspects on Thursday, November 7 connected to a stabbing that transpired in the region the night before.

According to a press release by the Santa Monica Police Department, officers were in the area of the 700 block of Santa Monica Blvd. at approximately 7 p.m. on November 6, when they noticed a male bleeding profusely from his arm. Officers were able to provide emergency medical aid on scene to the victim.

The victim had a laceration on his neck and a serious laceration on his brachial artery; the major blood vessel of the upper arm. He was taken to a local hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition. The name of the victim has not been disclosed to the public. 

The SMPD’s Criminal Investigation Division managed to identify two suspects involved in the stabbing and take them into custody around 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Due to an ongoing investigation, limited information is available, including the names of the suspects. Canyon News reached out to SMPD’s Lieutenant Cobarrubias for further information, who noted additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
