HOLLYWOOD—The hit FOX series “Beverly Hills, 90210” is headed back to the small screen for a reboot. The new series will be titled “90210.”

According to Fox, the reboot will show Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling, Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris, and Ian Ziering playing heightened versions of their characters on the new series. It will contain a “healthy dose of irreverence” and is inspired by the actors’ real lives and relationships.

The six actors have been separated for nearly 20 years agreed to the reboot. Luke Perry, who portrayed Dylan McKay on the series was rumored to make appearances on the reboot. Perry had not signed onto the show due to scheduling obligations for his role on the CW series “Riverdale.”

“What will happen when first loves, old romances, friends and frenemies come back together, as this iconic cast attempts to continue from where they left off?,” FOX indicated in a statement.

Spelling does not consider the return of the series as a reboot, as the CW brought the series back to the small screen in 2008, where it aired for five seasons.
