BEVERLY HILLS—Carter Paysinger, principal of Beverly Hills High School (BHHS) recently filed a lawsuit accusing the school board of racism. Paysinger claims that the school district is out to get every African-American who works in the school including himself.

Paysinger was an alumni of Beverly Hills High School graduating in 1974. He began his career at the school as a football coach for many years before achieving the title of principle in 2010.

Beverly Hills High School is a public high school founded in 1927 and located in the heart of Beverly Hills. The school is the setting for many movies and shows. Its popularity also comes from its famous alumni that includes Tori Spelling, Nicholas Cage, Angelina Jolie and Albert Brooks to name a few.

According to report, Paysinger’s attorney stated, “This case is about far more than racism. It is about a Board of Education that has repeatedly retaliated against Mr. Paysinger because he decided to stand up to them and report their illegal activities.”

Alijan defends Paysinger who claims that a member of the school board once stated, “One of the problems that you have is that you don’t look like what a principal of Beverly Hills High School should look like.”

Although there have been many rumors traveling about principal Paysinger being placed on ‘Administrative Leave,’ he remains the principal of BHHS. Classes are set to begin on Monday, August 11.
