UNITED STATES—On the 25th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church) held a “Christmas Memorial Service” at Shincheonji Suwon Church, where Chairman Lee Man-hee himself delivered a sermon about the true meaning of Christmas.

Around 100 Protestant pastors from the capital area attended the event, hosted by Shincheonji Church, to join in the celebration.

In his sermon, Chairman Lee emphasized the importance of not forgetting to be grateful for Jesus’ sacrifice, shedding His blood to atone for our sins, and urged the congregation to follow the Bible in their faith.

Chairman Lee mentioned, “God has been working to save humanity, and Jesus, in accordance with God’s will, took the world’s sins upon Himself to save us.” He continued, “That is why today the world commemorates the birth of Jesus. If Jesus had not borne the sins of the world, the entire world would have perished, just like in Noah’s time.”

Chairman Lee stated, “Our purpose as believers is to enter heaven. That is why we have walked this path, regardless of any persecution.” He emphasized, “The Book of Revelation will be fulfilled through the Second Coming of Jesus. The Jesus who came in the First Coming promised the events in Revelation.”

He continued, “What Shincheonji Church is testifying is not about prophecies that have yet to be fulfilled, but about the reality of those prophecies that have already been fulfilled.” He added, “If we testify about the reality of Revelation, people should come and listen to confirm it themselves.”

Chairman Lee also said, “The reason people are not able to confirm the reality of Revelation is because they are not practicing their faith based on the Bible but rather outside of it. Isn’t it better to believe knowingly than unknowingly?”

He concluded his sermon by urging the Protestant pastors present, “All pastors should teach their congregations the facts of Revelation as they are.”

On this day, over 12,000 members of the Shincheonji Johanan Tribe from the southern Seoul and Gyeonggi regions, including those from Suwon Church, welcomed Chairman Lee and the visiting pastors. Congregants held welcome banners saying “Welcome” and “We love you” and greeted those coming to Shincheonji Suwon Church, some as far as 700 meters from the church.

One of the Shincheonji members welcoming the guests, Lee Hyun-su (28, male), said, “I came with anticipation to see and hear the words of the one who has witnessed all of God’s work being fulfilled. I hope the pastors who have come today will also receive much grace.” He added, “I attended the welcome procession with the hope that they would experience the grace as well.”

The procession included a variety of welcoming groups, such as a brass band, honor guards, military music band, and a traditional Korean drum group, which caught the attention of citizens passing by the church. A local shopkeeper who watched the procession said, “It’s the Christmas holiday, but people are lined up in front of my store, and it’s so fascinating that I couldn’t stop watching. If someone is welcomed like this, anyone would be happy.”

A total of about 13,800 people, including pastors, congregants, and citizens, attended the event.

Pastor Kim (pseudonym), a Baptist minister who attended the service, said, “This was not just a simple commemoration, but a time to deeply reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. It was also a time to consider how we should guide the faith of our congregation.” He added, “In a chaotic and noisy world, it was a moving time that brought great comfort.”

A Shincheonji Church representative said, “Through this sermon, Chairman Lee conveyed that the prophecies of Jesus are being fulfilled as written in the Bible, and that the blood of Jesus is being realized in Shincheonji Church today. Pastors from Protestant denominations who understood this were present to witness it. Moving forward, Shincheonji Church will continue to actively communicate and exchange with Protestant pastors.”

Meanwhile, despite being 93 years old, Chairman Lee has shown an impressive level of energy and dedication. Since January, he has visited over 70 Shincheonji branch churches across the country to listen to the concerns of the congregation and share teachings on the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation, emphasizing the importance of faith based on the Bible.
