SANTA MONICA—An Independence Day tradition that has taken place every year for 33 years continued on Saturday, June 27 in Santa Monica.

Almost 11,000 spectators from Santa Monica and surrounding cities gathered for an early July 4 celebration.

Those in attendance were provided the opportunity to spend quality time with friends and loved ones and enjoy the fire works show.

Join in on the upcoming annual Fourth of July Parade sponsored by the Ocean Park Association on Saturday, July 4 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on Main Street. The parade will culminate with refreshments and live music at Ocean View Park.

The entire stretch of Main Street will be closed on July 4 during the time of the parade.
