HOLLYWOOD—The month of July kicked off in a massive way on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital.” How so? A storyline that has been what feels like almost 2 years in the making finally came to a head. The mystery project between Jenz Sidwell and Ross Cullum came to a head with a ton of surprises and a bloody end. Sidwell found himself in a crosshairs with Cassius and Detective Joe Fitzpatrick.

Cassius’ cover was blown and Joe got injured in the process. Sidwell didn’t like the betrayal so he decided to go after the one part he’s been trying to take down for months: Sonny Corinthos. Instead he wound up at Ava Jerome’s gallery where he took Ava, Nathan and District Attorney Justine Turner.

After a tense standoff, Jenz shot Nathan in the bum, which allowed Ava and Nathan to see shelter, while Turner was held hostage. Sonny ultimately came to her rescue and was ready to fire a bullet into his enemy ending his terror once and for all.

Turner miraculously got Sonny to back down and let the justice system play out. Sidwell was carted off to jail for the time being. However, I still wonder if he knows that Cullum is the one who murdered Marco. Let’s talk about Cullum because the guy is a piece of work. With Obrecht finishing Faison’s work, the device was in play to be transported, but good ole Carly Spencer was determined to rescue Josslyn.

She arrived at Wyndemere and found herself in a tussle with Cullum’s men before being subdued and reunited with Josslyn in that safe room. The trio of ladies found a way to escape and Josslyn went after Cullum. Long story short, Charlotte and Danny created a decoy so Cassius and Josslyn could corner Cullum. Joss was shot, Cassius was shot and Joss learned that Britt never had Huntington’s Disease it was all a massive ruse by Cullum to get her to complete Faison’s project.

I didn’t see that one coming, but Cullum didn’t get his ending because Josslyn finished him with a bullet through the chest killing him. Things get more complicated so bear with me.

A new mystery player with the WSB, Z portrayed effectively by John Oliver was the big major player at the WSB and cleaned things up rescuing Joss, while providing news that Cassius was dead, but was he? I mean he only got shot in the shoulder. That’s way too easy right? It was because at the end of Monday’s episode, viewers discovered Cassius was indeed alive and Z recruited him to be a member of the WSB.

In the process everyone else thinks he’s dead including Joss, Liesl, Britt and Nina. Yeah, heartbreak for Liesl all over again as she now has to relive losing a child all over again, but he’s not dead, he’s just MIA for the time being as Ryan Paevy has wrapped his contract with “GH” for the time being.

So I’m assuming with this news we will see the return of Jason Morgan to the canvas after being carted off by the WSB and we saw the return of Anna Devane this week, who dropped tea about Cassius to Felicia who warned Cody to protect James. One slight problem with Anna: is she ok? She saw a vision of Peter August of all people!

Could we see Peter who everyone including myself was certain was dead rise from the dead to become the big bad villain in Port Charles? We are going to need a villain, and while I prefer Faison or even Anna’s duplicitous twin, or even a Cassadine, fans are not likely to get what they want.

With this storyline finally wrapping this means the only story left to deal with is Willow and her actual role in Drew’s shooting and second attempted murder. She is being framed by Brook Lynn for causing Jordan and Curtis’ accident, but she didn’t. Making matters worse is Brook Lynn is being blackmailed by Lucy of all people for her shares in Deception. Lucy, you do realize that you’re going to be in hot water for knowing a crime was committed and staying mum?

Willow will be exposed to Chase, but Brook Lynn is going to be exposed far worse when the truth is revealed which will explain Willow and Chase ultimately hooking up, which we all know is going to happen at some point. The chemistry is there and it has been teased relentlessly for the viewers. With Sidwell out of her crosshairs, Willow has a bit more power, but what she does with it is another story. I am eager to see what new storyline is cooked for “General Hospital” in the coming weeks.

Out With The Old, In With The New

UNITED STATES-I took on a massive task this past week, I cleaned out my closet. I know it is a task that many Americans have to deal with every so often. I would say you have to do it at least two times a year. I unfortunately only do it maybe once a year. Why? When I look in that closet it just makes me sick to my stomach at times. My headache comes just from looking at it.

As a result, I put it off and put it off, until it reaches a point where I cannot put anything else in the closet or I cannot close it properly. So in essence, I am forced to close it. So instead of constantly ignoring it I hunkered down and tackled the task. First thing, you cannot organize or clean your closet WITHOUT TAKING EVERYTHING OUT OF THE CLOSET!

I know this sounds crazy, but it has to be done. You have to completely evaluate what you have, what you can wear, what you cannot wear, what is junk and what can be donated. It sounds like a lot, but you have to evaluate things. We tend to buy and buy to the point that we have clothes because that’s the purpose of the closet that never gets worn. It is just sitting there.

That is a problem America. If you haven’t worn those items in almost a year, you are probably not wearing them. So you have a choice, you can donate if its lightly worn or sell it. I have sold clothing, especially things that have NEVER been worn or barely worn and is like in new condition. Why not make a few bucks in the process and use that for a later time frame.

Then you have clothing that perhaps doesn’t fix anymore. If it doesn’t fit you have to get rid of it people. No point on holding onto things that are just collecting dust. If its not torn or doesn’t have holes in it, someone who doesn’t have much clothing can likely use it.

The last element is clothing that may be in that closet that is damaged. If that is the case, guess what, you gotta toss it. This allows you to eliminate some clutter in your closet so that you have more space for other things or to store items in a safe place. There is that other element of the closet that becomes a storage place for junk. Guess what, if its junk that is not being used, you need to toss it. Get rid of things that are simply taking up place and serves absolutely no purpose at all.

Once you have your closet organized by getting rid of a few things, you can now perhaps purchase new clothing to place in there. Yeah, I think as Americans we live under this assumption that once we get rid of something we have to replace it, when in all truth that is not always the case. Sometimes just let your closet breathe. You don’t have to have endless stuff just for you to say you have that stuff, if its not being used than its a waste America.
