HOLLYWOOD—This Sunday two HBO series return after a week off for the Independence Day holiday. Both “Hung” and “Entourage” are highly anticipated by viewers this season, for good reason. Both shows focus on storylines that are timely and always fascinating.

On Sunday night’s “Hung,” Ray (Thomas Jane) begins irritating Lenore (Rebecca Creskoff) and risks losing a client by giving Claire (Kathryn Hahn) marriage advice. Tanya (Jane Adams) will attempt to prove she can land a big fish for Ray after being humiliated by Lenore during a meeting with a 60-year-old widow. Ray plans to use his sex earnings to pay for the school baseball team’s transportation to away games, due to Detroit school budget cuts, though it starts to raise Mike’s (Gregg Henry) suspicions. Jessica (Anne Heche) will embarrass Darby (Sianoa Smit-McPhee) by crashing an eat-in protest outside a fitness gym. At the end of a long day, Ray reconsiders accepting a gift delivered by his neighbor’s wife, Yael (Alanna Ubach). Seems like more drama and trouble ahead for Ray.

While in L.A. on “Entourage,” in the midst of a public relations crisis over Vince’s (Adrian Grenier) movie, Ari (Jeremy Piven) will have a face-to-face with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and other top NFL figures, then Ari gets unexpected help from black-sheep agent Lizzie Grant (Autumn Reeser). We all know this will probably come with some strings attached. At Vince’s behest, Eric (Kevin Connolly) will agree to help Drama (Kevin Dillon) find the perfect script. Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) ends up with egg on his face when he accuses Alex (Dania Ramirez) of maxing out his corporate credit card. Sounds like every day in Hollywood! Sporting a bold new look, Vince plans to take his risk-taking proclivities to new heights. After an explosion already this season, you’d think Vince would be a little more careful. However, that would not be Vince.

Both shows air on Sunday night on HBO. “Hung” at 10 p.m. PST and “Entourage” immediately following at 10:30 p.m. PST.
