LOS ANGELES—NBA star Lamar Odom, who previously played for the Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers was discharged and transferred on Monday, October 19 from the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center in Nevada to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles to continue his recovery and treatment, which includes 6 hours of dialysis daily, according to TMZ.

According to reports, Khloe Kardashian, who remained with him throughout his stay at Sunrise Hospital, accompanied Lamar in the helicopter to Los Angeles. Khloe’s sisters Kim and Kourtney, as well as their mother Kris Jenner appeared at Lamar’s bedside at Sunset Hospital when news broke of his condition. Lamar appeared on multiple episodes of the hit E! reality series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

Other family members who were by Odom’s side at the hospital, included his father, Joe Odom, his aunt, JaNean Mercer, and his ex-girlfriend Liza Morales and their children, Lamar Odom Jr. and Destiny. Lakers star Kobe Bryant also appeared at the hospital to visit his former teammate.

He was found unconscious by workers on Tuesday, October 13, at a brothel, the Love Ranch South in Pahrump, Nevada. Calls were made to 911, who elicited information on Odom’s condition. He was unconscious with blood coming out of his mouth and nose. In addition, the caller said that Lamar may have used drugs such as cocaine and libido enhancers for sex.

Sheriff Sharon Wehrly told E! News that when emergency personnel arrived at the scene, Lamar was transported to the Desert View Hospital in Nevada. Once stabilized, he was moved to Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center via ground as a helicopter was too small to accommodate his height.

Odom begin to show signs of improvement on Friday, but still remained in critical, but stable condition. According to reports, Lamar is slated to begin physical therapy on Monday. The basketball star’s wife Khloe Kardashian, whom filed for divorce, has been by his side since his hospitalization. The athlete suffered damage to several of his organs including his kidneys, heart and lungs. Both Lamar and Khloe filed legal documents on Wednesday, October 21 to halt the process of their divorce.

Khloe Kardashian posted the following message on her website khloewithak.com reading:

“The past week has been incredibly difficult. I am so thankful to family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!”
