Bakersfield, CA – On the morning of Tuesday, September 8, 2026, a collision resulted in a car fire that left a person dead, according to KGET.
The Bakersfield Police Department reports that the accident took place just before 5:00 AM in the 3800 block of Marriott Drive, near the Marriott Hotel on the northern bank of the Kern River.
