HOLLYWOOD HILLS—On Friday, May 1, “Jersey Shore” star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro reached a plea deal in his domestic violence case with ex-girlfriend Jen Harley.

The 34 year old pleaded no contest to 1 count of domestic battery and 1 count of resisting arrest. He must now serve 36 months of probation and 30 days of community service, pay $20,000 to the Jewish Family Services of L.A., complete a 52-week domestic violence program, and abide by a 3-year protection order, according to US Weekly. A source informed Fox News that Ortiz-Magro already began classes in the domestic violence program 3 months ago “on his own free will, not because he was ordered (to).”

These charges come from when Ortiz-Magro was arrested on October 4, 2019 when he allegedly hit Harley in a Hollywood Hills Airbnb, and was charged with 7 misdemeanors later that month: domestic violence, criminal threats, brandishing a weapon, child endangerment, false imprisonment, and 2 counts of resisting arrest. He pleaded not guilty to all charges in November 2019 and 2 of them were dropped in February.

Ortiz-Magro’s 2-year-old daughter Ariana was also present at the Airbnb during the October 4 incident, and is currently being cared for by her mother, Harley, at her Las Vegas residence. Ortiz-Magro legally cannot see Ariana as Harley was granted an emergency protective order against him after his October arrest.

In an Instagram post on April 2, Ariana’s birthday, Ortiz-Magro addressed his daughter, saying that he will “NEVER STOP FIGHTING FOR U” and that “NO MATTER WHO KEEPS U FROM ME, I WILL ALWAYS BE HERE FOR U”.

During the April 23 episode of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation”, Ortiz-Magro described the arrest as “a bunch of unfortunate events that were completely out of my control.” He added that all he can do is “stay away from the situation” that got him to where the arrest is, “move forward and hope that never happens again, and just grow as a person, and grow as a man, and grow as a father.”
