WOODLAND HILLS—With Independence Day approaching, the Los Angeles Fire Department will be hosting the Woodland Hills Bob Blumenfield’s July 4th Firework Extravaganza. It is a free and safe event for crowds to celebrate the holiday.
The event will be held on Saturday, July 4, at Warner Park located at 5800 Topanga Canyon Boulevard from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admissions to the event is free, but there is a $25 parking fee, with the proceeds donated to the Valley Cultural Foundation.
Advertised by the Valley Cultural Foundation’s website, the 4th of July Extravaganza is sponsored by the councilmember Blumenfield, the Los Angeles Rams, and Tim Gaspar, and will feature food trucks, craft vendors, a free concert by the band Doctor Wu, and music group Marshmallow Blowtorch, followed by a 20-minute firework display.
The LAFD website encourages communities to attend permitted firework shows this 4th of July, noting that personal usage of fireworks is illegal in Los Angeles and to leave “fireworks to the professionals.”
The public can report illegal fireworks anonymously by visiting lacrimestoppers.org or surrender illegal fireworks in their possession by calling the Los Angeles Police Department’s 1-877-ASK-LAPD line and ask for special guidance on how to properly surrender fireworks.
