MALIBU—On December 1, a fan of singer Lana Del Rey, 30, was arrested after breaking into her home.

The fan is an unidentified 19-year-old white male, who was discovered on Monday, November 30, by a construction worker in Del Rey’s garage. The suspect had broken into her Malibu home and began to settle into her garage before he was discovered.

The suspect was not arrested at the home of the singer. He fled the scene and was later arrested in the Santa Monica area a day later. The suspect was arrested and booked for suspicion of burglary for allegedly stealing a book from Del Rey’s home.

The suspect left behind his laptop and notes in Del Rey’s garage which outlined his obsession with the singer. Authorities reported that the suspect had written that he and Del Rey had a “spiritual connection.”

The suspect is currently being held on a $150,000 bail.

According to reports, Del Rey and the suspect never crossed paths due to the fact that Del Rey was not at the residence at the time as the home was under construction. She told reporters that she had bought the $3 million home in Malibu in order to escape her fans and she felt like the area was more private.
