BEVERLY HILLS—The city of Beverly Hills is alerting the public of an upcoming traffic advisory in the region.

The Metro Sidewalk and Bus Stop Improvement Project will start on Monday, June 22 and continue through Thursday, July 2. Metro will be making roadway improvements at the intersection of Wilshire and S. Beverly Drive. Traffic will be impacted so anticipate delays and allow extra travel time while these improvements are completed.

Construction on southbound S. Beverly Drive. will require a lane closure. One southbound lane and two northbound lanes will remain open. Intermittent restrictions of the left turn lane from the northbound S. Beverly Drive. to westbound Wilshire Boulevard may occur throughout this period. Sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours may occur intermittently.

There will be concrete pours on Friday, June 26 and Monday June 29, 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. The left turn lane from northbound S Beverly Dr. to westbound Wilshire Boulevard. will be closed for concrete placement.

The D Line Extension rail project will provide a transportation alternative from downtown Los Angeles to Westwood, including two stops in Beverly Hills: Wilshire/La Cienega Station and Beverly Dr Station. Travel time between downtown Los Angeles and Westwood is expected to be about 25 minutes.

The project is being built in three sections, two of which are within the city of Beverly Hills. The first section stretches from Wilshire/Western in Los Angeles to the Wilshire/La Cienega Station. Section 1 of the Metro D Line, which includes Wilshire/La Cienega Station is now open for riders. For more details about the Section 1 stations can be found on Metro’s website here.

The second section will extend the subway from Wilshire/La Cienega to Century City, including the Beverly Drive Station, and is under construction and scheduled for completion in Spring 2027.
