SANTA MONICA—A fundraiser titled “MAINopoly: Taste of Main Street” took place along Main Street in Santa Monica on May 24.
The Memorial Day event was meant to mirror the long known board-game “Monopoly” and raise funds for Summer SOULstice and Heal the Bay.
The event, which takes place annually, began at 3:00 p.m. and ended at 8:00 p.m.
Those in attendance were encouraged to wear a “Monopoly” inspired costume to get in the spirit. Attendees received 20 “Mainopoly” dollars to spend throughout the many restaurants and businesses along Main Street. A dollar to be spent at each participating location.
Areal Restaurant, Pressed Juicery, Enterprise Fish Co. were a few of the many restaurants that participated in the event.
