MALIBU—Gerjuan Deshon Harmon, 29, a parolee for a prior burglary conviction has been sentenced for stealing celebrity fitness guru Jillian Michaels’ 2011 Bentley GT. The $170,000 luxury vehicle was stolen from the TV star’s home on July 3, 2012.

 The Los Angeles District Attorney’s reported on June 16, 2014, that Harmon was found guilty in court to one count of first-degree burglary, person present and grand theft of personal property.

 In December 2013,  a prior jury were unable to reach a verdict  on those counts, but found Harmon guilty of one count each of unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle, evading an officer and hit-and-run and two counts of resisting an officer.

 In addition to the theft of the Bentley, Harmon also stole “The Biggest Loser” stars’ big-ticket Audemars Piguet watch, and a Hermes purse, in which Harmon found the keys to the car.

 According to testimony from the District Attorney’s Office, Michaels’ didn’t realize her property had been stolen until the next day. She was at her Malibu home with her family in another room, when Harmon broke into the residence and took her belongings.

 The suspect was taken into custody on July 4, 2012 when Burbank authorities pursued the reported stolen vehicle. While in pursuit by police, Harmon crashed the vehicle and fled on foot. He hid in a shed before a brief scuffle with police before he was arrested.

 Harmon is expected to spend 17 out of a maximum 22 years in state prison.
