UNITED STATES—POWERBALL® stands out as one of the most popular draw games across multiple states. Whether you’re grabbing your ticket from your local store or trying your chances through West Virginia Lottery’s online iPLAY platform, knowing all your ticket options can help you make the most of your entry.
Let’s walk through the different ways you can customize your POWERBALL gameplay – from letting the computer pick your numbers to entering several draws at once.
Quick Pick: For a random number selection
Don’t have favorite numbers? No problem. The Quick Pick option might come in handy for you. With Quick Pick, your POWERBALL® numbers get randomly generated when you buy your ticket.
This covers both the five white ball numbers (from one to 69) and the red POWERBALL© number (from one to 26). You can use Quick Pick both in-store and online through iPLAY.
Manual selection: Playing your own way
Maybe you’ve got birthdays, anniversaries, or numbers that are significant to you that you’d like to use. If so, you can opt to manually select your POWERBALL© numbers. You can do this on paper play slips at retailers or through the West Virginia Lottery’s online platform, iPLAY.
If you’re using iPLAY, your picks get saved to your account so you can easily see what you’ve played before and reuse your favorite combinations.
Multi-draw entries: For planning ahead
POWERBALL® draws happen three times weekly—Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 11:00 PM ET. If you want to participate in multiple draws but don’t fancy buying a new ticket before each one, multi-draw tickets are the way to go.
This option allows you enter your chosen numbers for up to 26 consecutive draws, whether playing at a store or online.
With iPLAY, setting up multi-draw entries is part of the ticket purchase process. Just pick how many draws you want in, and your digital ticket handles the rest.
Power Play add-on: Multiplying potential wins
For an extra $1 per play, you could opt to add the Power Play feature to your POWERBALL® ticket. This option can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, or even 10x, depending on which multiplier gets drawn.
While Power Play won’t affect the jackpot prize, it can potentially turn a $50,000 win into $500,000 with the right multiplier. You can add Power Play whether you’re using Quick Pick or choosing your own numbers, online or in-store.
Auto-renewal (online only): Set it and forget it
If you play online through iPLAY, the auto-renewal feature saves you from having to remember each draw. When you turn this on, the system automatically buys tickets for upcoming POWERBALL® draws using your saved payment method and preferred numbers.
You’ll still get ticket confirmations and draw results, and you can cancel or change your auto-renewal settings anytime through your account.
Auto-renewal might be temporarily unavailable during system updates or game changes. Check your account for the latest status.
Pick your POWERBALL® play style
Whether you prefer letting the computer pick your numbers, selecting your own combinations, or setting up multi-draws so you never miss a chance to potentially win, POWERBALL® gives you options to match however you prefer to play.
With both iPLAY and retail locations throughout West Virginia, you can choose whatever method works best for you while always playing securely and responsibly through the West Virginia Lottery.
