BEVERLY HILLSBrianna Kloutse, aka the “Purse Packing Bandit” pleaded no contest to nine bank robberies and two attempted bank robberies on Monday, April 27. The 47-year-old will return to the Burbank branch court to face sentencing on June 30. If found guilty, she could spend up to 14 years and 4 months in state prison.

Beginning in October 2012, Kloutse robbed nine banks in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and Los Angeles. Witnesses testified that she often wore a wig and carried a gun (or suggested to a weapon in her purse) while performing the robberies. She was caught on August 22, 2014 after attempting to rob another bank in Beverly Hills.

Though she has already been charged separately, it is believed that she may have worked with a partner. Police mistakenly arrested Charles Belk on the day Kloutse was caught, but later made a public apology and confirmed his innocence. No other leads regarding a possible partner have been released.
