SANTA MONICA—The Santa Monica Classic was held on Sunday, September 8 starting at the west of Ocean View Park on Barnard Way. This is the second year in a row the race has sold out. 

The event contains two races one being the 5k which started at 8 a.m. and the 10k which began at 8:30 a.m. 

The event included a kids race known as the ‘Surfers Shuffle Kids Run’ that started at 10 a.m. for kids between the ages of 3 and 8.

Entries into the race included regular entry, a charity entry requiring a $25 donation fee or virtual entry which allowed individuals to participate in the race virtually.

The race ended with a finish festival on the Santa Monica Pier with post-race refreshments, games and live music.
