LOS ANGELES—On November 13, the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide detectives noted that they are asking for the public’s help with information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of a security guard.

The LAPD reported on November 10, around 6:20 p.m., 77th area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a shooting at a dispensary in the 6600 block of Crenshaw Boulevard.  When officers arrived, they found the victim, Francisco Alonzo, 27, inside the establishment suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and provided emergency medical treatment, but Alonzo was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the preliminary investigation, it was determined that Alonzo worked at the location as a security guard and became involved in a dispute with the suspect possibly during the commission of a robbery. There are no details on a suspect description at the moment.
