BEVERLY HILLS—On Saturday, September 20, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported a fire was extinguished in Beverly Grove.

The blaze was reported at 1:29 p.m. at 8620 W 3rd Street, where heavy smoke was coming from the second floor of two-story vacant/boarded apartments.

By 2:11 p.m. a total of 77 LAFD Firefighters extinguished the fire in 42 minutes within a vacant/boarded 3,981 square foot two-story apartments over commercial building with basement (built 1937).

There were no reports of any injury. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
