HOLLYWOOD—Could this truly be happening, is the game of “Survivor 49” actually about to kick off accurately. This week’s episode, ‘Go Kick Rocks, Bro’ as we witnessed the tribe swap, thank GOD! I hate seeing three tribes because the game just stalls a bit if we’re being honest.

On Kele, the only two left were Alex and Sophi, who were given new life in the game once they discovered that they get the opportunity to play with other players besides themselves. Host Jeff Probst noted a tribe swap was happening in the game. Which is something we haven’t seen in quite sometime in the new era. Everyone except Alex and Sophi were dreading this.

As a viewer I was absolutely loving it. The new tribes:

Hina: Jawan, Matt, Jason, Sophi, Rizo, Savannah and Nate.

Kele: Alex, Steven, Kristina, Shannon, Sage, MC and Sophie.

Oh, this is about to be exciting. There wasn’t even a challenge, oh, Jeff that was cruel, but I loved it to be honest. So, Rizzo has NO VOTE, MC has no vote. Rizzo was very worried about his vote situation. Sophi was so happy with all the perks on the beach. I like her energy, she’s great at stoking the flames to get Uli and Hina going after each other. Oh, Shannon seemed nervous, and I think she was about to annoy most of the members of Kele including the Hina players.

Seriously are we doing introductions in episode four, and Alex’s hands and legs look terrible. Sophi got to witness fire, and she started to bond with Juwan, and started to work on Nate, Rizzo and Savannah. Savannah has gotten her claws into Sophi, but Sophi spilled all the tea about Alex; loyal to who?

Alex was realizing the same thing Sophi was, get scooped up with the majority and it was obvious Shannon was about to annoy many people on this tribe. Steven wasn’t feeling Shannon, and he realized she was a threat. He was right on the money: Sage or Shannon should be on the chopping block. Jason started to work on Savannah to save himself in the game, pretty much noting to take Matt out over him. Gosh, why does Savannah have to be the star of the episode, with Matt spilling he worked in the finance world.

Kristina was thinking of aligning with Sage and Shannon. Kristina, what are you doing, you have a strong four, why are you trying to pull in Shannon of all people! Now this is the side of Kristina I have been waiting to see as she’s vulnerable and I didn’t even realize that she had a child. This is the type of stuff I want to hear about. This challenge is important because they get the opportunity to eat food if they are victorious.

Kele gained a strong league because Matt panicked and kept dropping bocks. This is an interesting challenge, as the height is beyond crazy. Like how in the hell are you to stack this high, both tribes were struggling with this, but MC came to the rescue saving her tribe from going to Tribal Council. The new Hina is headed to Tribal Council and the writing on the wall feels like Matt is in trouble, oh, how predictable?

Juwan, Nate and Savannah realized they needed to dig up the clue, so he gets his vote back and locate the idol clue, which Savannah located. The idol has to find it tonight otherwise it’s a dead idol and he has no vote. Rizo located his idol and has gotten his vote back. This just feels boring. Oh, this season is like a slog. I really want this season to end, and we get to season 50, cause with returning players from the old school era, we’re going to get some fireworks.

Matt went to work and wanted to put the target on Nate of all people. Interesting, very interesting. Jason realized it was either him or Matt. Jason spilled that he plans to utilize his Shot in the Dark as strategy, but I’m not sure if that is smart. Play with the people offering a branch. Jawan confessed to Matt that he felt he was at the bottom of his Uli tribe, and he’s right. Is Nate going home? I doubt it. I had to chuckle with Jawan’s confession about that alliance name.

Savannah and Rizo wanted to strike Jason over Matt. Yeah, I could care less about this Tribal Council. What is intriguing about this people? Tell me, what is intriguing about Matt or Jason going home. Nothing. It would have been exciting to see someone from Uli have to fight for their lives like Savannah, Nate or Rizo. Oh, Nate, someone said your name it’s like the end of the world, it’s not the end of the world if you are targeted; get over it. The arrogance from the Uli tribe mates makes you NOT want to root for them at all.

Nate is messy, very messy, it is going to be glorious to see him voted out of the game because I don’t think he will see it coming. As expected, it was Matt whose game came to an end, what a surprise? After next week, if things don’t pick up, I’m out on the season for “Survivor.” It just is not giving excitement and it’s taking too long for things to move along.
