LAS VEGAS, NEVADA—The Men’s Team USA Basketball team played a scrimmage game between the Blue and White teams with Team White winning the light hearted contest 134-128. No defense was on display, this was more of a celebration and affirmation of who wants to try out for the 2016 Olympic roster in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Several Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers were invited to attend including Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes for the NBA Champions.

For the Clippers Blake Griffin, Chris Paul and DeAndre Jordan made the short trip to the desert. Other marquee superstars on hand included LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant and James Harden.

Over 12,211 fans witnessed a great ending to the four day mini-camp. The play was reminiscent of an all-star game, in previous years defense was stressed and even seen as a “make or break” reason for making the cut. Team USA under the fine stewardship of Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski and General Manager Jerry Colangelo have gone 75-1 in international play since 2006.

Thompson, Griffin, and Demarcus Cousins all played outstanding in this exhibition game at the Thomas and Mack center. The crowd roared its approval with great alley oops, no look passes and Blake Griffin flying into the Vegas night. Fun night for the fans and keep in touch kind of feel for the players. 34 players were invited and only 12 will make the cut. A great problem to have for the extremely talented Americans.
