BEVERLY HILLS—This week handsome actor Joe Manganiello is off the market, ladies. The “True Blood” star announced his engagement this week, Oprah Winfrey had two explosive interviews for her show, both incredibly moving and engaging. My friend Florence Henderson was voted off “Dancing With The Stars,” two of Hollywood’s biggest stars from two different eras were hospitalized, there’s a new star cookbook available and my friend Harlan Boll was honored for his years of dedication to the Motion Picture Home in Woodland Hills.

Ladies can you believe that one of the most eligible bachelors in Hollywood is now officially off the market? My friend Joe Manganiello, who stars as the brooding werewolf Alcide Herveaux on HBO’s hit drama “True Blood,” announced that he became engaged in Italy this week to his beautiful girlfriend actress/model Audra Marie.

The couple met last year at a Super Bowl party and Audra played hard to get. She waited six months to finally accept a date with the handsome Italian hunk. No wedding date has been set. Though, I caught up with one of my “Queen of the Lot” costars, actress Kelly DeSarla, who was Joe’s leading lady in the 2008 film “Irene in Time.” The two locked lips on the big screen and Kelly was not surprised that her former costar is getting hitched. “I knew someone would be smart enough to snatch Joe up! Although women all over the world are in a state of mourning, I am very happy for Joe and wish him and his bride-to-be all the very best,” said DeSarla.

“Dancing With The Stars” had a shocking climax earlier in the week when “Brady Bunch” mom Florence Henderson got voted off. Florence and viewers were shocked, and everyone thought Bristol Palin, who performed in a gorilla suit and received the lowest score, was going. Florence gave it her best shot, so good for her.

Pop star Celine Dion checked herself into a Florida hospital to make sure that she doesn’t go into early labor. The singer is carrying twin boys, and has had trouble with pregnancies in the past. Good luck to Celine and her husband, who are anxiously waiting for the birth of their healthy babies. Columbia film icon from the late 1950s and ”˜60s, Kim Novak, was diagnosed with breast cancer after her yearly mammogram. Novak is said to be in great health otherwise, and the 77-year-old star is expecting a positive outcome.

Rumors are rampant that Reese Witherspoon and famed Hollywood super-agent Jim Toth are engaged. Reese denies this. There’s also a lot of speculation about whether Beyonc è and her husband, Jay-Z, are expecting a baby. My call was not returned by press time.

While “Glee” stars are getting a lot of attention for their racy and suggestive “GQ” cover, Oprah proved why she’s the Queen of talk this week. Lisa Marie Presley gave her only interview discussing the death of the late Michael Jackson, whom she was once married to. The interview was incredible. Presley compared the King of pop’s death to her dad’s death, who was considered the King of rock and roll. Then Oprah got movie mogul Tyler Perry to open up about the physical and sexual abuse he suffered as a child. Both were tear-jerking interviews.

Next week I’ll report on the wonderful honor my friend Harlan Boll received on Monday night. He is one of the most respected Hollywood insiders today, who was honored in Studio City by the Southern California Motion Picture Council for his tireless efforts to assist those in our industry who are in need of shelter and/or health care post-retirement.

The brightest stars of daytime television share their favorite recipes for charity in the just released “Soap Dishes: The Cookbook.” “B&B’s” own Lesli Kay, Kyle Lowder, Don Diamont and Rick Hearst ”˜put their aprons on’ and show you how to make their favorite meals! Part of the proceeds from “Soap Dishes: The Cookbook” will go to The Desi Geestman Foundation, whose goal is to provide financial and emotional support to young cancer victims and their families.
