BRENTWOOD—Actor Tobey Maguire just purchased a $13 million mansion in Brentwood. Maguire’s new three-level home consists of six bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms and features a gym, theatre, wine cellar and elevator.

Maguire’s previous home was also located in the Brentwood area, nearly a block from his new mansion. According to the Hollywood real estate blog, Yolanda’s Little Black Book, the actor has been connected to the Brentwood community for close to a decade. He purchased a one acre vacant Brentwood Park lot for nearly $10 million in 2008, which still remains undeveloped. In 2014, he paid $8.45 million to former talk show host Ricki Lake for a mini-mansion across the street from the lot. He sold it a year later for $10.4 million.

After Maguire released a statement announcing his separation from his wife of 9 years, Jennifer Meyer, the micro-compound they shared in Santa Monica went up for sale for $3 million.

Maguire is best known for his portrayal of superhero wall-clinger “Spider-Man” in three films, as well as starring roles in the films “Pleasantville,” “Seabiscuit” and “The Great Gatsby.” He has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe Award and has received two Saturn Awards, including one for Best Actor.
